Bio

I am currently a 5th year graduate student at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Clinical Psychology and will be completing my PhD in June 2022. I have mentored undergraduate students throughout my time in graduate school, and am looking forward to continue to help students pursue their scientific interests! My primary research focus is on identifying biomarkers in families with a history of autism or fragile X syndrome, including patterns of gaze, autonomic regulation, and neuropsychological abilities. I am training to be a clinical psychologist with an interest in neuropsychology across the lifespan. In my free time I enjoy walking my pup, baking sourdough bread, and traveling (when possible).

Project ideas

Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.

Can "Brain Games" Make Me Smarter?

I'm sure everyone has seen ads for "brain games" you can play on your phone which are marketed to improve cognition. This project will dive into the literature around the efficacy of these products and evidence-based interventions for individuals experiencing cognitive difficulties.

There's More to Psychology Than Meets the Eye

This project explores how patterns of gaze (i.e., where you look) and eye movement (i.e., how you look) can be reflective of certain psychological disorders. We'd narrow it down to one or two disorders of interest and explore the research related to how these fixation patterns may shed light onto the neurobiological mechanisms underlying the chosen disorder. There is robust research in this field related to schizophrenia, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, and more!
